MAPME Update

We are excited to announce that the MAPME Initiative is organizing its second Geo4Impact 2025 event!

 

This free event will take place in Paris on May 27–28, 2025.

Geo4Impact 2025 brings together thought leaders, professionals, and researchers to explore reusable open geospatial solutions in the development cooperation. This inspiring gathering will delve into how these tools can tackle sector-specific challenges, enhance project design, and improve monitoring and evaluation processes for greater impact.

Event Highlights:

May 27: The day will begin with engaging morning sessions featuring short presentations from peers sharing innovative reusable ideas and case studies. During the networking lunch, participants will have the opportunity to connect through interactive "speed-dating" activities. The afternoon will continue with short presentations followed by an engaging panel discussion, providing further opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

May 28: A dedicated half-day session will offer an in-depth exploration of selected chapters from the forthcoming Geospatial Impact Evaluation in Practice textbook. Bringing together researchers and practitioners, this session will explore cutting-edge geospatial methods for cost-effective, repeatable, and scalable impact evaluation. Structured discussions will focus on AI-driven applications and real-world case studies, fostering collaboration to ensure the content effectively addresses future needs."
